  • Answer: Every Sunday

  • Question: Do I have to live in Shannon to be a stall holder?
  • Answer: No

  • Question : Can I bring a car/Truck/Trailer on to the site
  • Answer: Yes as long as it fits on to your site and does not obstruct other traders on their site.

  
  • Question: should I book or just show up?
  • Answer: Up to you. But the sites are preallocated, so you will need to take what is left over, moreover the casual site rate is higher than a booked site.


  • Question: Do we have to be a Shannon organisation to have a community table?
  • Answer: No

  • Question: How are community tables allocated?
  • Answer: Ring Dave 021-130-25-27 and ask what day's are free and book a date that is suitable for you and your organisation.

  • Question: If our organisation wants to run a BBQ, are these provided?
  • Answer: No you will need to bring your own BBQ and other gear.

  • Question: Are gazebo's provided by the Market?
  • Answer: No, you need to provide your own.

  • Question: what times does the Market operate?
  • Answer: The market starts at 7.30am for traders setting up stalls and opens to the public at 9 am. The market closes at 3pm and all traders should plan to gone by 4.30pm at the latest.


  • Question: Can I pick a site I would like to have?
  • Answer: No, traders have been mixed to provide maximum traffic to all stalls.

  • Question: Can I have my traders ad on this site changed?

  • Answer: Yes, by all means submit a new card or image, and as long as it is it suitable for public viewing, we will run it. the management retains the right to refuse to run images on the grounds that it is not suitable for public viewing or contravenes copyrights.

  • Question: Can I sell Food?
  • Answer: Yes, all stallholders must trade in accordance with the Food Hygiene Regulations 1974 or the Food Act 1981.  The Horowhenua District Council monitors this. Relevant Food licenses must be displayed.
