Sales increasing for FRUIT & VEG operators at Sunday Market

Fruit and honey sales are on the increase for Wairoa based producer Graham Lancaster, " every week we see locals returning for quality produce at sensible prices". Leading up to summer Lancaster Citrus will be extending there range of citrus fruit.

Regular quality vegetable operators Plan It Veg are also building a loyal and increasing customer base with an ever increasing range of table and specialty produce avaiable. With NZ Rose Apples on sale at $1.00 kg and Cabbage yesterday on for 1 hour at 50 cents there were many good buys to be had at the Market yesterday.

Market regulars are coming back each week for the ever popular selection of "Mr Grumpy's" bread.
" It smells great and you just can't beat it"

Afghans, Shortbread, Chocolate Button biscuits from the Foxton Beach Pies range are proving popular with young and old coming in each week for their Sunday treat.

Keep watching this site as there is something "BIG" coming to the Shannon Village Market soon.

FERRET "V" gets a "Beet Bite" at Shannon's Village Market

"Beet Bite Baby"
Parnell's Vegetable Queen "FERRET V" hit the Market last Sunday on transit to Super City Auckland. "V" in jaffarish loud tones only to be heard on the south side of the harbour bridge made a spectacle of herself as she packed away all of the poor vegemans prized "Babybeets"(which were on special from Plan It Veg for the day at $2.00  a bunch).
A shower of rain was not going to stop this feasty ferret  as "V" continued her hit on Shannon giving the shops a burst before she roared off to "beet' the 5pm traffic at the Opiki (Rocket) intersection. " What 'Shame on you Auckland - you don't have a Rocket ! ' ).
